Review of Ellis O. Day’s The Baby Battle

★★★★ Alison and Harker are at it again and this time Alison’s all jacked up with pregnancy hormones.  One long winded argument drives this entire story, and it provides limitless sexual tension as well as endless frustration.  Honestly, I began finding myself siding with Harker and Adrian on this particular point, against the women.  I certainly see Alison’s side of things but after Harker does back flips to make her happy, I can’t believe she won’t soften her position even a little.  I know from firsthand experience how it feels to be pregnant and while the theme gets played up a bit for dramatic effect, the hormonal changes make this already high-strung woman downright exasperating.  Power to you, Harker, for battling it on from the doghouse and doing a damn good job of fighting the good fight.  Maybe in the next story Alison will finally see that her horsewhipped husband is head over heels in love with her, since she doesn’t have the advantage of reading his thoughts, like we readers do.  Though the billionaire’s love is becoming pretty obvious, IMHO!
