Review of Ellis O. Day’s Making the Baby

★★★★★ Alison and Harker are the best couple in the series!  I loved The Baby Bargain so much I bought the rest – I wanted the fun to continue.  Making the Baby reads more like a continued saga than a novel.  It took me a while to read it but I loved it, so many fun surprises and we get to learn a lot more about Harker’s interesting background, what makes him the grumpy alpha he is, and as a bonus we get his full name.  Great sex scenes, laugh out loud arguments.  It’s good from the get-go and it’s consistently good as this stubborn hero and his strong-minded now-wife engage in an endless battle of wills.  Not to spoil anything, but one of my favorite parts of the story is when they meet up with Ethan the club owner – it’s great, Harker’s reaction to the whole thing is priceless and I definitely didn’t see it coming.  Alison’s best friend Ellie comes into the story at just the right time – I wasn’t as much of a fan of Ellie’s and Adrian’s story but boy do they play an interesting role in this one – you’ll have to read it to see how it plays out.  Will Harker change his mind about the clause in the baby contract Alison is so bent out of shape about?  Will Alison cheat?  Is she pregnant?  We’ll have to read book 3 to see what happens next – I’m looking forward to it!
