Review of Ellis O. Day’s His Sub

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An excellent change of pace from the last series I read and oh-so-much fun.  A mom of little ones, I related well to heroine Maggie and Terry is my kind of hero.  Back in the world of Le Petite Mort Club, we meet a most unlikely pairing, both divorced parents but in every other way they couldn’t be more different.  Opposites definitely attract.  Terry’s pursual of Maggie is long and drawn out but it’s nice to see that Terry pursues Maggie hard and clearly falls for her from the get-go.  Like with Nick, hero in the Six Nights of Sin Series, I’d really like to know more about Terry, what happened to him to make him this cynical lawyer who wants only to have a dom, sub relationship with a woman but author Ellis O. Day does give us a very big clue, which helps.  And unlike the ever popular Christian Grey, Terry has warmth and a sense of humor that obviously hasn’t died.  My favorite part of this story is the dialogue, namely, Terry’s.  That’s a really big deal to me and trust me when I tell you Ms. Day keeps her hero in character through it all, he plays the dom like a master.  Not sure if I’ll continue the series but this is an excellent first story and for the 3 days I was reading it, I was in reader heaven.
